In November 2025, Dongguan Huaxin Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. completed green and intelligent technological transformation, becoming the first power cable factory in the Pearl River Delta region to realize the whole-process low-carbon production. With an investment of 230 million yuan, this technological transformation focused on upgrading key process equipment such as conductor smelting and insulation molding, introducing photovoltaic power supply systems and waste heat recovery devices, and the factory's self-sufficiency rate of production electricity reached 35%; at the same time, halogen-free environmentally friendly insulation materials were used to replace traditional halogen-containing materials, realizing the environmental protection of the whole life cycle of products. After the transformation, the energy consumption per unit product of the factory decreased by 28%, with annual reductions of 32,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 150 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, and the production efficiency increased by 35%. The environmentally friendly power cables produced by the factory successfully passed the EU ECOLABEL certification, and overseas orders increased by 40% year-on-year.
