In December 2025, Shenzhen South Cable Co., Ltd. jointly launched the world's first integrated PV-storage-charging cable with Huawei Digital Energy, which was successfully applied to the Shenzhen Longhua Smart Transportation Hub Project. Innovatively integrating three functions: photovoltaic power transmission, energy storage charging and discharging, and signal communication, the cable adopts weather-resistant polyolefin insulation materials, which can adapt to extreme outdoor environments from -30℃ to 85℃, support a maximum charging current of 600A, and improve charging efficiency by 15% compared with traditional solutions. Through the built-in optical fiber sensing module, it can real-time monitor the cable temperature and insulation status, and the fault response time is shortened to the millisecond level. After the project is put into use, the daily charging capacity of the hub charging station will be increased to 800 vehicles, saving more than 2 million kWh of energy annually, providing a new solution for multi-energy integration in smart transportation.
