In December 2025, the power cable factory built by Hengtong Optic-Electric in Nuevo León, Mexico was officially put into production. This is the first professional production base for power cables laid out by Hengtong overseas, with a total investment of 500 million US dollars and covering an area of 150 mu. It mainly produces high-voltage power cables for new energy vehicles and connecting cables for energy storage systems, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 kilometers. Located close to Texas, USA, the factory has a superior geographical location, which can quickly radiate core North American markets such as the United States and Canada, and the delivery cycle is shortened by more than 70% compared with domestic exports. Adopting a complete set of Chinese intelligent production technology and quality control system, the factory has passed authoritative North American certifications such as UL (United States) and CSA (Canada), and has obtained orders from automakers such as Tesla and Ford, which will further enhance the competitiveness of Chinese power cable enterprises in the North American market.
