UL Publishes New Traceability Standard for Wires and Cables:

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has issued the UL 469A-2026 standard, mandating that all UL-certified wires and cables must be embedded with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips to enable full-chain digital traceability from raw materials to end-users. The new standard will become mandatory on July 1, 2026. Major Chinese exporters have already begun production line modifications to comply.
