Recently, Hualian Technology, a leading domestic wire and cable enterprise, announced the official large-scale mass production of its independently developed high-environmental-protection, low-loss and flame-retardant power cables. This product not only breaks through the dual bottlenecks of environmental protection and transmission efficiency in traditional power cables, but also fills the domestic technical gap in related fields, providing a more cost-effective power supply solution for downstream industries such as new energy and smart home.

It is understood that this new type of power cable adopts bio-based eco-friendly insulating materials. Compared with traditional PVC materials, it can reduce carbon emissions by 60%, does not release toxic gases in high-temperature environments, and can be naturally degraded after disposal, fully complying with the EU RoHS 2.0 and the latest domestic environmental protection standards. At the same time, by optimizing the conductor structure and insulation layer process, the product's transmission loss is reduced by more than 15%. Under the same power output, its energy consumption is 8%-10% lower than that of traditional products, making it particularly suitable for scenarios with high requirements for energy efficiency and environmental protection, such as data centers, new energy vehicle charging piles, and smart home appliances.

"With the advancement of the 'dual carbon' goal and consumption upgrading, the market's demand for environmental protection and energy efficiency of wires and cables is becoming increasingly urgent," said the R&D Director of Hualian Technology. After 3 years of technical research and development, with a total R&D investment of over 200 million yuan, the product has overcome a number of core technologies such as the high-temperature stability of bio-based materials and low-loss conductor stranding, and has obtained 12 national invention patents. Currently, the annual production capacity of the production line reaches 5 million kilometers, and the first batch of products has been successfully supplied to well-known enterprises such as Midea and BYD, with an order value exceeding 300 million yuan.

Industry analysis points out that China is the world's largest producer and consumer of wires and cables. As a basic supporting product, power cables are widely used in various fields such as industrial production and civil consumption. The mass production of this high-environmental-protection and low-loss power cable not only provides a model for the technological upgrading of wire and cable enterprises, but also will promote the green transformation of downstream industries. It is expected that the market scale of such environmentally friendly and energy-saving wires and cables will exceed 20 billion yuan in the next 3 years.
