Since May 2026, a total of 38 new national standards for wires, power cables and cables have been officially implemented, covering material performance, flame retardancy, temperature resistance, aging resistance, testing methods and environmental indicators. The new standards greatly raise safety requirements for household power cables, industrial cables and power transmission cables and strictly restrict hazardous substances. Many small and backward manufacturers are phased out, accelerating the elimination of low-end capacity and promoting the high-quality and high-safety development of the cable industry.
