EU REACH New Regulation Takes Effect, Four Kinds of Phthalates Restricted in Cable Sheath Materials

EU REACH Annex XVII officially entered into force on May 10, 2026, setting a strict 0.1% mass fraction limit for four phthalates used in power cord insulation and sheaths. Cable exporters to the EU must update SDS safety data sheets and complete SCIP registration to prevent customs detention.
